Next breakfast: Friday, 25th October

Come along to hear from the CEO of Roses in the Ocean, the national organisation of lived experience in suicide.

Bronwen, the founder of Roses in the Ocean, will open up to us about the Roses journey so far, what they have learned and the way they have changed how they go about their work.

Bronwen is the founding CEO of Roses in the Ocean, the national lived experience of suicide organisation which was established in 2011 following the suicide of her brother Mark. First and foremost, Bronwen brings her personal lived experience of suicide to the table, while also striving to honour the vast perspectives of others she has been privileged to work with and walk alongside over many years.

Roses in the Ocean provides innovative, collaborative leadership across the suicide prevention system for people with lived experience of suicide, communities, sector organisations & government. They also deliver non-clinical peer-led community-based services and continuously explore and improve how they approach community consultation and co-design.

What are impact breakfasts?

Impact breakfasts are a vision for a more impactful social purpose sector by learning together to create more effective programs and services in Brisbane.

We define social purpose sectors as any organisation that aims or has the aim to create a better world.

The idea is that if we collaborate by combining our knowledge and support with one another, we can see improvements in the social purpose sectors in Brisbane.
